SoulHub X1 · crowdfunding 2026 Presence,
preserved.
SoulHub keeps the people you love in the room. A consented vault holds a voice, a face
and the stories only they could tell — and a device brings them back as ordinary,
everyday conversation.

What SoulHub is A memory you can answer back to.
SoulHub Labs builds ambient AI presence devices. Each device pairs a
high-definition or volumetric display with a consented memory vault holding one specific
person’s voice, stories, photographs and manner of speaking — and with
Alaya AI, an open-source cognitive
architecture that turns that vault into natural spoken conversation. It is not a smart
speaker and not a chatbot: it renders one real, consented person, grounded in a private
family archive rather than the open internet.
- Three device generations: X1 (HD), M (glasses-free 3D), Avatar (any surface).
- Consent is recorded at capture and stored with the vault, permanently.
- Families own their vault outright — export it in full or erase it in one action.
- Presented by Lizzian and Nine AI Tech. English and Mandarin at launch.
How it works
Four layers between a recording and a conversation.
01
Capture
Guided sessions record voice, stories, photographs and video with a consent statement attached at the point of capture. Nothing enters a vault without it.
02
Vault
Material is written into a family-owned memory vault as weighted seeds. The family can view, export, forget or audit it at any time, and deletion is real deletion.
03
Alaya engine
Retrieval, identity assembly, affect shaping, dual verification and four guardrail passes run on every single turn before a word is spoken aloud.
04
Presence
The result is rendered as a face and a voice in the room — flat HD on X1, glasses-free volumetric on M, any surface on Avatar.
The devices Three generations of presence.
Each generation renders the same vault with more depth. The memory stays; only the
surface it appears on changes.

SoulHub X1
Ambient presence display
SoulHub X1 is a countertop presence device with a high-definition display, room-filling spatial audio and an on-device memory model. It holds the stories, speech patterns and photographs a family has chosen to preserve, and brings them back as natural conversation.

SoulHub M
Glasses-free volumetric presence
SoulHub M replaces the flat panel with a light-field display, producing a volumetric human presence visible to the naked eye from any angle in the room. A 360-degree sound field and a larger memory model make conversation feel located rather than broadcast.

SoulHub Avatar
Persistent presence, any surface
SoulHub Avatar lifts the presence off the device. The same memory vault drives a persistent avatar that can appear in spatial computing environments, on a phone, or in a shared virtual space — so continuity of memory is not tied to a single object in one room.

SoulHub Avatar · Research programme The cognitive engine Alaya AI: memory, identity and restraint as separate, testable layers.
Alaya AI is the open-source cognitive architecture inside every SoulHub device: a Yogācāra-informed digital-human system in which memory, identity, affect, self-verification, guardrails and governance are separate, testable layers rather than one opaque prompt.

Alaya AI · phase 6 · MIT licensed An AI should remember without becoming manipulative.
It should maintain identity without pretending to be human.
It should respond warmly without amplifying dependence.
It should detect afflictive patterns without performing them.
Where it belongs
Four rooms this was built for.
Legacy & remembrance
Record a parent or grandparent while they can still tell their own stories.
Families have always preserved voices — in letters, tapes, voicemails kept far too long. SoulHub turns that instinct into something you can answer back to. A vault recorded while someone is well becomes a way for grandchildren to hear a story in the voice it was first told in, in the words that person actually used.
Companionship for older adults
A familiar face in the room for someone who lives alone.
Loneliness in later life is a measured health risk, not a soft one. SoulHub X1 is built for people who will never open an app: one dial, one button, a face that greets them by name and remembers what they said yesterday. It is designed to prompt contact with real people, not to substitute for it.
Distance and long separation
For families split across countries, deployments and time zones.
Video calls need both people awake at once. A SoulHub presence does not. A parent working overseas can leave stories, answers and bedtime readings in the vault, and a child can talk to them at the hour that suits a seven-year-old rather than an airline schedule.
Pet memory keepsakes
The animal that was part of the household, kept in the household.
A pet vault holds footage, sound and behaviour rather than speech: the specific way a dog greeted the door, the noise a cat made at six in the morning. For many families this is the first loss a child experiences, and a keepsake that moves and sounds right is easier to sit with than a photograph.
Common questions Answers, in plain terms.
What is SoulHub Labs?
SoulHub Labs is a hardware and AI research company building ambient presence devices. Its products preserve a person’s voice, stories, photographs and manner of speaking in a family-owned memory vault, then use that vault to hold natural spoken conversation. The company is presented by Lizzian and Nine AI Tech.
What does a SoulHub device actually do?
A SoulHub device sits in a room, shows a familiar face on a high-definition or volumetric display, and speaks in a preserved voice. It answers questions, retells family stories from the memory vault, and holds ordinary back-and-forth conversation. It is designed for daily presence in a home, not for a headset session.
How is SoulHub different from a smart speaker or a chatbot?
A smart speaker answers queries with a generic assistant voice. SoulHub renders one specific, consented person: their face, their voice, their stories and the way they tell them. The model is grounded in a private family vault rather than in the open internet, so it recalls a shared history instead of generating plausible fiction.
Who owns the memories and recordings uploaded to SoulHub?
The family does. Every recording, photograph and story lives in a family-owned vault. It can be exported in full or permanently deleted at any time, and SoulHub Labs does not sell vault content or use it to train models for other customers.
Does SoulHub require consent from the person being preserved?
Yes. A vault can only be created with a recorded consent statement from the person themselves, or with documented authorisation from their legal next of kin. The consent record is stored with the vault and travels with it across every SoulHub product.
